Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Clinical Skills and Simulation Technician, School of Nursing, Maynooth University

We are seeking a Clinical Skills and Simulation Technician to join the new School of Nursing. Applications are invited from those who have considerable experience of working in a similar capacity in healthcare, education or similar contexts. The successful applicant will be expected to support staff and students and work as a core member of the School of Nursing team to facilitate the provision of clinical skills and simulation sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Furthermore, the successful applicant will play a lead role in the ongoing development of the clinical skills and simulation ecosystem in the School.
The post holder will be responsible for preparing equipment and clinical skills laboratories for simulation education, regularly liaising with service users and staff to meet their training and teaching needs. The successful applicant must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and confident interaction with all levels of staff and students. Additionally, computer literacy and experience in using and maintaining relevant health/medical equipment are essential.
Chief Technical Officer: €71,381 – €80,650 p.a. (6 points)
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
