IReL is a consortium of Irish research libraries. Established in 2004, it provides participating member institutions with access to a wide range of licensed e-resources, open access publishing agreements with over twenty publishers, and open science infrastructure. Funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation, and Science and the Higher Education Authority, IReL is hosted by Maynooth University and its activities are overseen by a governance committee with representation from a range of stakeholders.
IReL is seeking to appoint an IReL Officer who will work with publishers, IReL member libraries and IReL colleagues to negotiate and manage a large number of IReL’s license agreements with publishers, and ensure that these agreements meet IReL’s Principles for Negotiations.
Salary Scale:
Assistant Librarian - Grade II: €45,792– €64,302 p.a. (9 points)
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
