Research Assistant, Level II – EU Project GoGreen Next (0.5FTE, Specified Purpose Contract), Department of Psychology, Maynooth University

We are seeking a Level 2 Research Assistant (RA) to join the GoGreen Next Horizon Europe project team. GoGreen Next is a 54-month EU Horizon Europe funded project to promote urban health, targeting four European pilot sites, which ends June 30th, 2028. The Research Assistant will support the principal investigator (Dr. Tadhg MacIntyre) and all members of the research team to meet the overall aims and objectives of the project. They will assist with managing all stages of the project data lifecycle, including the development of communication and dissemination outputs, research activity using the virtual reality technology and conduct interviews as part of the project with key stakeholders. As a core member of the research team, they will contribute to presentations at national and international conferences, and to scholarly publications arising from the project.
Go Green Next is a €6 million Horizon Europe project that will future proof urban health across Europe and North America. The central aim of the project is to advance research and innovation to support the development of evidence-based policy at city, national, and global levels, to accelerate our efforts to address the challenges of climate change, biodiversity and environmental degradation and human health in the urban context. A total of 19 partners from North America, Switzerland, Norway, Spain, Austria, Netherlands, Finland, Germany, Malta, and three partners from Ireland will develop novel approaches to investigate how best cities can realise their climate neutral ambitions. Pilot demonstrations will be conducted across conurbations with diverse spatial, climatic, and cultural characteristics in Malta, Päijät-Häme region in Finland, Klagenfurt, Austria, and Cork city in Ireland. At Maynooth University the project involves researchers from the School of Law, Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the Department of Psychology.
