Title of Post: Research Fellow in Advanced Material Synthesis for Battery Applications
JOB SYNOPSIS
The research fellow will carry out research in advanced material synthesis with the aim of generating complex multielement compositions across a range of solid types, ionic, covalent network solid and intermetallic with application to energy storage applications. These multielement materials will be optimized for multiple different components in next generation’s batteries e.g. materials that alloy with Li, Na and K for high performing anodes. Materials for solid state electrolytes and next generation cathode materials. The fellow will support the principal investigator in managing existing research grants from Research Ireland, Horizon Europe and other funding awards and support the supervision of PhDs and postdoctoral researchers in the team on a day-to-day basis in the laboratory.

Salary Scale: €65,889 - €71,796 p.a. pro rata (maximum starting salary €65,889 p.a. pro rata)
