UCD Post-Doc Lvl 1, UCD Civil Engineering, Temp 6 months

Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of Civil Engineering. 

This project aims to advance the understanding and design of soil anchors for floating offshore renewable energy platforms. The postdoc will lead centrifuge modelling tests of soil anchors at ATU Sligo, capturing soil-structure interactions under controlled conditions. In parallel, the postdoc will support numerical analyses using finite element modelling to investigate anchor performance. Together, these approaches will deliver new insights into the mechanics and optimisation of anchoring system for offshore renewables, support safer and more cost-effective deployment. 

PD1 Salary: €46,305 - €50,168 Per Annum 

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
