JOB SYNOPSIS

If so, we want to draw your attention to an Associate Professor position in the Department of Management and Marketing at the Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick, Ireland. The Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick warmly welcomes applications for the position of Associate Professor in Management at the Department of Management & Marketing. We are looking for an excellent management scholar who is delivering high quality research, teaching excellence and societal impact at our triple accredited business school (AACSB, EQUIS & AMBA). The successful applicant will be expected to contribute and enhance the research, teaching and stakeholder collaboration initiatives across the areas of management, leadership and strategy. The main purpose of the role is to contribute to a suite of programmes within the area of management. Furthermore, to pursue a continued strong research trajectory aiming to publish in high quality journals, pursue research funding opportunities, and importantly, engage with doctoral supervision. We are looking for candidates with a clearly outlined research agenda and have published in prestigious international journals. Applicants should possess the ability to cultivate global connections and partnerships. International experience in teaching and research is a desirable attribute. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in research and teaching excellence. Candidates should have a strong commitment to interdisciplinary and impact-driven scholarship, and a demonstrable track record of research that addresses real-world problems through engaged, ethical, and reflexive inquiry. The Department of Management & Marketing seeks candidates who can show evidence of publication quality and impact, both within and beyond academia. This may include but is not limited to publication in 3, 4 and 4* Association of Business Schools’ (ABS) journals, citations, journal impact factors, reviews, and research awards, or in the case of books, the publisher should be listed on UL’s list of prestigious publishers. In the case of multi-authored publications, there must be clear evidence of author contribution. Applicants should have experience in conducting high-quality research as demonstrated by published articles and an excellent pipeline of future publications. We especially encourage applicants with experience in applying for research funding and creating societal impact through research. The preparation and submission of grant applications for research funding will be expected as part of the associate professor role. We have a range of supports available to support the creation of a research agenda, enabled through competitive national and international research funding. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the supervision of doctoral candidates, providing experts academic guidance and support in the development of applied research projects. Applicants should at a minimum demonstrate an awareness of the potential impact of their research beyond academia (e.g. in terms of impact on policy, practice, organisations, health and the environment)
