Research Assistant, UCD School of Medicine

Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Asssistant within UCD School of Medicine This post will investigate the metabolic mechanisms underlying macrophage and structural cell interactions and communication in chronic lung diseases. You will utilise primary patient samples, ex vivo culture models and cell lines in conjunction with multiparameter flow cytometry, PCR and multiplex metabolic and- cytokine analysis. You will play a key role in organising, maintaining and undertaking tissue culture and ex vivo culture based experiments. You will provide support for on-going screening of biological actions of novel compounds under the direction of senior lab members. Salary Range: €33,291- €34,120 Per Annum Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
