JOB SYNOPSIS

The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) is home to world-class research and teaching in computer science and software engineering, with particular strengths in algorithm design and analysis, computational complexity, data structures, and optimization. The Department plays a central role in the Immersive Software Engineering (ISE) programme, a pioneering initiative that integrates academic learning with extended industry residencies. Our research leadership is strongly reflected in collaboration with Lero – the Taighde Éireann/Research Ireland Research Centre for Software, which hosts a large, interdisciplinary community of researchers advancing software systems, algorithms, and digital technologies. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in algorithm analysis and design, maintain a strong publication record, attract external research funding, and contribute to teaching and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
