The Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to the teaching, research, outreach and administrative activities in the Discipline of Radiation Therapy. The successful applicant will have a strong commitment to expanding their reputation in teaching and research in the field of radiation therapy. They will have experience working in a radiation therapy clinical department and their research and clinical experience will underpin their teaching.
Context
The Discipline offers a B.Sc. (Hons) in Radiation Therapy, which has strong clinical and academic components as well as online postgraduate certificate, diploma, and MSc. in Advanced Radiation Therapy Practice. Candidates must hold a B.Sc. in Radiation Therapy and will have some experience working in a radiation therapy department. The successful candidate, who will join the Discipline’s multidisciplinary team, will be expected to contribute to the current undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as appropriate, to be actively involved in research and in our outreach and civic engagement programmes.
Qualifications
- Hold or be close to completion of a PhD in Radiation Therapy
- Have relevant experience working in a radiation therapy clinical department, particularly focused on radiation therapy techniques, imaging and treatment planning
