Assistant Lecturer in Media (Specified Purpose Contract) Department of Media Studies / Maynooth University

We are seeking an excellent academic to join our staff as an Assistant Lecturer in Media. The person appointed will have a proven record of teaching, research and publication, appropriate to career stage. They will be expected to make a strong contribution to the teaching programme of the Department and undertake teaching duties on the Department’s undergraduate programmes. 

The appointee is expected to be able to coordinate and deliver modules on topics across both practice and theory including: interactive storytelling; digital skills; Film Studies and Media Studies theories and concepts. The appointee will be expected to have an average of two modules per semester and to have responsibilities for coordinating and managing modules, which may include working individually or with a team of tutors/lecturers. Additional duties include: supervision of undergraduate dissertations; management of student administration; participation in departmental administration (Open Days, talks, etc.) as well as Faculty/University service and administration.
