Post-Doctoral Researcher Access UCC and School of Education
Access UCC, in partnership with the School of Education, UCC, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to support its mission to widen access to higher education and create an inclusive university environment where all students can thrive.
The postholder will undertake applied, policy-relevant research to generate, analyse, and apply high-quality evidence on the reach, outcomes, and impact of Access UCC initiatives across the student lifecycle. This work will strengthen the evidence base that informs institutional planning, policy, and practice, supporting UCC’s commitment to equity of access and success, and HEA access and participation objectives.
The role is academically led through the School of Education, UCC, and embedded within Access UCC, providing a unique opportunity to work at the interface of research and practice. The postholder will contribute to both scholarly outputs and institutional impact, strengthening the evidence base that informs access policy, practice, and institutional decision-making at UCC. They will disseminate research findings through high-quality reports, peer-reviewed publications, and presentations, ensuring that insights support both internal stakeholders and the wider higher education sector.
