Salary: Appointment will be made on the Research Assistant scale at a point in line with Government Pay Policy [€34,129 to €36,272 per annum, full-time equivalent], appointment will be made no higher than point 4
Hours of Work: 19.5 hours per week

Post Summary
The successful candidate will join a team of 10+ researchers, including the PI, postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, and another research assistant. The specific post will involve the development of hearing device for improving auditory perception in noisy environments. The project will involve recruitment and data collection on neurotypical and neurodiverse volunteers, adults and children. The primary objective of that data collection is to identify the optimal configurations for the device as well as gathering qualitative insights into the experience of the participants, shaping future developments.
Standard Duties and Responsibilities of the Post
The successful candidate will have a major role in recruitment, data collection, and community engagement/outreach. Depending on the future ambitions of the candidate, we will provide learning opportunities for developing, for example, skills in data analysis, writing, oral presentation. Other duties may include adding news to the lab website and co-organising weekly meetings. The successful candidate will interact directly with the PI of the team, Asst. Prof. Giovanni Di Liberto, and will work closely with a postdoctoral researcher.
Qualifications
Minimum qualification: Undergraduate degree in a relevant research area (e.g., Neuroscience, Psychology, Neural Engineering).
