The Purpose of the Role 

The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to teaching, research, and administrative activities in the Department of Drama, School of Creative Arts. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of modules in the field of drama, theatre, and performance studies, with the capacity to deliver excellent instruction across lecture, seminar, and studio-based formats, as well as one-to-one mentoring in areas of their expertise. The successful candidate will require some experience in teaching at university level, as well as a research profile in line with expectations at this grade. They will be expected to contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate supervision and mentoring, as well as to the administrative functions of the Department and School.

 

Context 

The School requires a candidate to contribute to UG and PG teaching and supervision, to aid the development of curricula, to contribute to the research profile of the Department and School, and to participate in the administrative activities of the Department and School.

 

Qualifications 

• PhD in Drama and Theatre Studies or a cognate area (essential). 

• Experience in Creative Arts practice (essential). 

• Academic publications in peer-reviewed international journals and/or academic presses, and/or professional creative/practical projects of equal standing, and/or research outputs of equal standing of recognised originality and value.
