Salary: This appointment will be made on the Assistant Professor merged (109) Scale (€43,425 - €103,582 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)

Post Summary
We seek to appoint an Assistant Professor in General Nursing. The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to general nursing teaching, research and administrative activities in the School. The successful applicant will have an established reputation in teaching and research in General Nursing and will be expected to contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in this field and in interdisciplinary curricular teaching, supervision and mentoring. This post provides an exciting opportunity to actively contribute to developments pertinent to general nursing in relevant research areas that are of strategic focus for the Discipline, the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin and contemporary society. The successful candidate will be expected to have a depth of knowledge pertinent to the role and will be expected to attract research funding and attain scholarly publication.
The appointee will avail of an outstanding environment for education, research and scholarly endeavour, and will be expected to engage with new innovations and research initiatives within the Discipline of General Nursing, the Trinity Centre for Practice and Healthcare Innovation and the Institute of Population Health, as relevant. They will have access to the School and College state-of-the-art facilities and resources to support education, research and scholarly activities. The appointee will work closely with the Head of Discipline and other discipline members.
The position will be a five-year fixed term tenure track post.
