The Purpose of the Role

Applications are invited for this specific purpose contract for maternity leave cover within the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, tenable from 26 January 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter). Context The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences currently offers undergraduate pharmacy education, postgraduate degrees by research and several taught postgraduate courses. This position is to provide maternity leave cover in the area of practice of pharmacy, with key responsibilities to support the 5-year Pharmacy (Integrated) programme, and to strengthen the School’s existing teaching and research in the pharmacy practice area.

The role-holder will require the following knowledge, skills and attributes for successful performance in the role. 

Qualifications 

• Must be registered or eligible to register as a pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland. 
• Must hold or be undertaking a suitable postgraduate qualification relevant to this position. 
• Must have patient care/clinical experience in the community and/or hospital pharmacy setting. 
• Must have experience of developing pharmacy practice modules for students on placements.
