Learning Support officer

School/Department:               Learning & Organisation Design & Development (L&ODD), Human Resources 

Job Category and Level:        Executive Officer Salary Scale (€ 33,523 - €51,715) at a point in line with current                                                                     Government Pay Policy.

Hours of Post:                          35 hours per week

 

The Purpose of the Role 

Trinity College Dublin is seeking an organised administrator to support the delivery of learning and organisational development activities within the HR team. 

As the main administrative support for the Learning & Organisation Design & Development (L&ODD) team, you will coordinate training events, maintain accurate records, manage bookings and payments, and liaise with stakeholders across the university. The role offers variety and autonomy in a busy but structured environment and is central to ensuring that L&D services run smoothly and professionally.

 

Context 

Reporting to the Learning & Development Operations Manager, this role will form part of the Organisation Development (L&ODD) team (6 staff) within the larger Human Resources Department at Trinity (approx. 60 staff). 

The L&ODD team plays a key role in delivering staff learning interventions aligned with Trinity’s strategic goals. This post supports the operational delivery of these programmes and ensures high standards of service to staff, vendors, and internal partners. You will work closely with colleagues across the university and take pride in providing responsive, detail-oriented administrative support that enables our staff to thrive.

 

Qualifications 

• Leaving Certificate and relevant further education or training (e.g., QQI/FETAC) (essential). 

• Administration, HR, or finance-related training or certification (desirable)

Experience 

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy office environment in an administrative role (essential). 

• Experience managing bookings, coordinating events, or processing payments (essential). 

• Experience using administrative databases, HR systems, finance systems, or learning systems (e.g. CORE HR, SAP, or similar) (desirable). 

• Experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders (desirable).
