POST SUMMARY
4-Year PhD Studentship: Healthcare System Adaptation for Novel Alzheimer's Therapeutics
This PhD project invites exploration into how healthcare systems might navigate the emerging landscape of Alzheimer's Disease-Modifying Therapies (DMTs). The research will examine multiple dimensions of system readiness through an interdisciplinary lens - from diagnostic pathways and workforce capacity to funding mechanisms and equity considerations.
With Ireland's healthcare system as the primary context, the successful candidate will employ mixed research methods to investigate current preparedness levels and potential adaptation strategies. The project aims to generate insights that could inform policy development, clinical practice evolution, and advocacy priorities as DMTs move toward mainstream implementation.
This studentship offers an opportunity to contribute to shaping responsive, forward-looking approaches to dementia care during a period of significant therapeutic innovation.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Join the Centre for Health Policy and Management at Trinity College Dublin for a fully funded, interdisciplinary PhD project supported by the Trinity Research Doctorate Award. This studentship offers the opportunity to collaborate with leading experts in clinical research and policy analysis. The successful candidate will develop advanced methodological skills while contributing to nationally significant research aimed at transforming dementia care.
