Research Assistant

Post Status: Specific Purpose Contract – Full-time. 

Research Group / Department / School: School of Computer Science and Statistics, Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin 

Location: Stack B, School of Computer Science and Statistics Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin College Green, Dublin 2, Ireland 

Reports to: Prof. Mads Hahhr 

Salary: Appointment will be made on Research Assistant payscale at a point in line with Government Pay Policy €32,962 to €42,943 per annum, appointment will be made no higher than point 12 

Hours of Work: 39 Hours Per Week (Full-Time)

 

Post Summary 

The Research Assistant will join an interdisciplinary team working on the use of locative games for cultural heritage sites. The project, entitled LoGaCulture, is funded through Horizon Europe and has partners from four European countries. The TCD team is led by Prof. Mads Haahr and is conducting research, design and development in locative games and interactive digital narrative. The Research Assistant is expected to participate actively in the project with specific focus on user study.

 

Standard Duties and Responsibilities of the Post 

The duties involve research, design and evaluation in the area of location-based games for cultural heritage. The researcher will be liaising with other project partners, including cultural heritage institutions.

 

Person Specification 

Qualifications 

Masters or PhD or equivalent research experience in a relevant field.
