Research Culture and Quality Manager (HS focus)

The Purpose of the Role
To lead and manage the improvement of research culture and quality across the Faculty of Health Sciences (HS), through consultation, strategic programme planning and delivery, and the provision of expert insight and support. The role holder will develop strong networks across the institution and with its clinical partners to ensure that research culture and quality issues are tackled, that examples of best practice are developed and celebrated, and that Trinity fosters a culture of inclusive and excellent research.
This role is one of three Research Culture and Quality Managers, focusing specifically on the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Context
The role is based in the Research Strategy and Policy team within Trinity Research, with close working across the Faculty of HS, including its clinical partner sites. Reporting to the Head of Research Strategy and Policy, this role will work alongside Research Culture and Quality Managers for the other Faculties at Trinity, learning from their respective experiences, and ensuring a consistent cross-institutional service for research culture and quality.
Through the work of its teams, Trinity Research is responsible for: delivering sector-leading support to the research community, leading work on institutional research strategy, research policy and research culture initiatives, leading the University’s engagement with national and international research funding and policy matters, and working to enhance the profile and reputation of the University’s research.

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential
• The post-holder must be qualified to degree level or equivalent
• Recent and relevant knowledge and experience of the Higher Education sector
• Demonstrable knowledge of key current international and national quality and culture issues relevant to University research
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Desirable
• Experience of working in interdisciplinary research or research culture contexts
• Experience of working in areas relating to HS disciplines
• Experience of working in clinical academic environments
