Lecturer (Above the Bar) in Finance, Cork University Business School

University College Cork wishes to appoint an academic within Cork University Business School to the role of Lecturer Above the Bar in Finance. Double accredited by AMBA and AACSB, a PRME Champion and holding an Athena Swan Bronze Award, Cork University Business School is one of Ireland’s largest business schools. Our school seeks to shape leaders for a sustainable future and is committed to providing a dynamic, supportive and inclusive learning, teaching, research and working environment, which recognises the diverse backgrounds and interests of both students and staff. 

 

The Lecturer Above the Bar in Finance will demonstrate a track record of relevant research and teaching experience. Candidates will have successfully published in journals of international standing and demonstrate clear potential to do so (publications in the 3 and 4 star ranked journals by the Chartered Association of Business Schools are preferred). Candidates must also demonstrate their experience and/or potential in delivering high quality teaching in the discipline of finance across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Candidates should set out how their research may contribute to one or more of the UCC Futures or proposed new strategic research centre on the Future of Work and Economies.

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer (Above the Bar) Salary Scale: €78,401 - €101,534 (Scale B) / €74,592 - €96,455 (Scale A).

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
