Research Assistant Medical Education Unit, School of Medicine

The Medical Education Unit, School of Medicine UCC is recruiting a Research Assistant to work on a Health Research Board funded project on Climate Change and Sustainability education for healthcare professionals. The project is an interdisciplinary collaboration with partners in the health and higher education sectors across Ireland. Individual studies include literature reviews using a variety of methodologies, large-scale survey, interview/focus groups studies, co-design, consensus building, implementation, and evaluation studies.

These posts are suitable for candidates with primary or Master’s degrees in areas such as health professions’ education, sustainability education, health services research, public health, psychology, sociology, etc. Training in specific methodologies will be provided as required and further opportunities for professional development will be provided by the UCC Post-Doc Development Hub. The researchers will be part of a team of six full-time research staff and a part-time research administrator working on this project under the supervision of work package leads and PI Prof. Deirdre Bennett. Key duties and responsibilities are outlined below. This post requires presence on-site at UCC. UCC’s Blended Working Policy will apply.
