Position Summary
Applications are invited for the role of Research Fellow within the Department Of Economics and Cork University Business School.
An opportunity has arisen to join the Department of Economics at Cork University Business School to conduct a health technology assessment of Electrochemotherapy for skin cancer treatment in Ireland. The primary focus of this role will be to determine if Electrochemotherapy can be consider cost effective for skin cancer treatment in the Irish Healthcare System, using standard national health technology assessment (HTA) methodologies. It will also estimate the budget impact of implementing Electrochemotherapy for skin cancer treatment in Ireland, using national guidelines.
The research group comprises of both health economists and clinicians so provides an excellent, inclusive environment to conduct health economic analyses. The team have a strong track record of high-impact publishing and have been funded with public and industry grants for health economics research in oncology.
This is a funded role The role is funded by BreakthroughCancer research and is based in the Department of Economics at Cork University Business School, under the supervision of Dr Aileen Murphy and Dr Ann Kirby.

Post Duration: 12 months, Part-time post
Salary: €65,237 - €71,085 per annum, IUA Scale, pro rata 0.5 FTE
