Research Support Officer (Part–Time) Clinical - Project Manager INFANT Centre

The INFANT centre is internationally renowned for research in the field of early brain injury. For over 15 years Prof Geraldine Boylan and Prof Deirdre Murray have worked to develop new methods to predict, detect and prevent early brain injury and disability in young children. In 2024 the Cerebral Palsy Foundation (New York) funded an ambitious project to improve the lives of young children with cerebral palsy in Ireland. To achieve this goal, they have developed a partnership with UCC, funding the first Chair in Early Brain Injury and Cerebral Palsy, as well supporting a body of research into the early detection, prevention and treatment of early brain injury and Cerebral Palsy (CP) in young children aged 0-3 years. In October 2024 Prof Deirdre Murray was appointed to the role of Prof of Early Brain Injury and CP. This post will support the aims of the project; to develop better ways to predict CP and to detect cognitive disability following early brain injury, to develop novel interventions for young children (aged 0-3 years) to improve their outcomes. To engage and inform families caring for these young children to improve outcomes and quality of life.
INFANT is now accepting applications for a part time Research Support Officer – Clinical Project Manager to support work of the Chair of Early Brain Injury and Cerebral Palsy, including support of the multidisciplinary research team and developing strong engagement and communication with families of young children with CP or at high risk of CP.
