iCRAG Public Engagement Officer, UCD Earth Sci & iCRAG, Temp

Applications are invited for a temporary post of an iCRAG Public Engagement Officer within UCD School of Earth Science - Research Ireland Centre for Applied Geosciences (iCRAG).
iCRAG is the Research Ireland Centre for Applied Geosciences hosted by University College Dublin (UCD). iCRAG's research focuses on aspects of the past, present and future Earth system that are critical to society and the economy. The objective of iCRAG's education and public engagement programme is the creation of engaged and scientifically informed publics on iCRAG's research on the Earth's system, the sustainable development of natural resources and our relationship with our planet.
The Centre wishes to recruit a Public Engagement Officer on a fixed-term, full-time contract basis until December 31st, 2026. With a focus on the CREATE and PARTICIPATE programming strands, the Public Engagement Officer will have a broad range public engagement responsibilities that will encompass: (i) delivery of the Centre's arts-based public engagement programming; (ii) advancing and supporting engaged research programming in line with the research strategy of the Centre; and (iii) monitoring and reporting of public engagement activities and outputs across the Centre to ensure attainment of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The Public Engagement Officer may be asked to support other aspects of iCRAG's work programme when relevant and the appointee will be expected to have a flexible approach in this regard. The post-holder will report to the iCRAG Education Manager, and the position is based at University College Dublin.
Salary Range: €50,000 - €55,000 Per Annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
