The successful candidate will have an established reputation for excellence in research and teaching in the field of folkloristics and ethnology with specialisations in traditional narrative, popular belief, ritual and custom with a focus on contextualising these traditions in both Ireland and globally. They will contribute to the School's undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and will be expected to provide academic leadership in the development of innovative teaching and research in this area in a national and international context, including ethnographic and archival practice and methodologies in the immediate field of folkloristics.95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €64,753 - €102,539 Per AnnumAppointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 17/11/2025Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified.
