UCD Post-Doc Lvl 2, UCD Earth Sciences, Temp 9-month
Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 2 within UCD School of Earth Sciences.
The successful candidate will support the QUEST project on-going at UCD. The QUEST project aims to address a critical knowledge gap in Irish Blue Carbon science related to marine sediments by delivering high-quality data, peer-reviewed scientific publications and expert advice. These are to be used by stakeholders and, including Government bodies, in the effective management of Irish Blue Carbon under such legislative frameworks as the National Marine Planning Framework. More specifically, this role will support the development of expert advice for the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment as part of their work into designation of Marine Protracted areas (MPAs).
Salary Range: €55,399 - €56,957 Per Annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

As with the PD1, if you have already completed your PD2 stage in UCD or will soon complete a PD2, or your total Postdoctoral experience, inclusive of the duration of the advertised post, would exceed 6 years, you should not apply and should refer to Research Fellow posts instead.
