This position is linked to the Urban Sense project and is sponsored by Dublin City Council and Research Ireland. Urban Sense is modelling and measuring greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across Dublin. The focus of this position is developing an agent-based model (ABM) to capture the statistical properties of neighbourhoods as they relate GHG emissions. This will entail the compilation of detailed spatial and temporal data on sociodemographic, housing, work, transport, commercial activity, etc. that can be integrated within a selected ABM framework. This model will be evaluated using existing data and used to simulate GHG emissions under different policy scenarios. The successful candidate will work with Dublin City Council and their climate change team. Post Doctoral Level 2 Fixed Salary: €53,770 Per Annum Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on the 6th of May 2025.Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified.
