Postdoctoral Researcher - HRB Primary Care Clinical Trials Network Ireland, College of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences 011271

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time, fixed term position as a postdoctoral researcher with the HRB Primary Care Clinical Trials Network Ireland (HRB Primary Care CTNI) to contract end in November 2026.

The HRB Primary Care CTNI, established in 2015, aims to support the creation of high-quality clinical evidence which improves patient outcomes in Irish primary care. The network provide supports to researchers to develop and conduct clinical trials in primary care. It also supports the successful translation and implementation of this evidence into healthcare policy and practice.

We now wish to recruit a highly motivated and talented Primary Care Trials Postdoctoral Researcher. This is a key position, working closely with the core operations team of the Network: Network Director Professor Andrew W. Murphy (University of Galway), the Network Associate Director Professor Susan Smith (Trinity College Dublin), the Network Manager Laura O’Connor (University of Galway), and the Network’s Executive Management Committee. The Primary Care Trials Postdoctoral Researcher will be expected to lead on specific projects within the HRB Primary Care CTNI, and will have a considerable level of autonomy. The successful candidate will take a lead role in reviewing the impact of network activities, while also supporting day-to-day operations.

Salary: Postdoctoral Researcher / Research Associate salary scale €45,846 – €58,481 per annum, (subject to the project’s funding limitations), and pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts.
