Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time fixed-term position as a Research Associate with the “EDICT” Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network (MSCA-DN), based in the Centre for Health Research Methodology at the University of Galway, Ireland. This position will focus on advancing equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in clinical trials through innovative methodological research.
The position is available 1st December 2025 to 28th Feb 2030.
This Research Associate position requires an established postdoctoral researcher who will play a leading role in the EDICT (Advancing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Clinical Trials) MSCA-DN. The role demands extensive experience in mixed-methods research, evidence synthesis, and health equity research, coupled with proven project management skills and experience working with diverse stakeholder groups.
The successful candidate will conduct research examining the psychosocial determinants of clinical trial participation, develop innovative methodological frameworks to enhance trial inclusivity, and contribute to the coordination of research activities across this major European initiative. They will work closely with international partners, patient organisations, and industry collaborators to develop evidence-based solutions for improving representation of underserved populations in clinical research.
