Research Fellow - Senior Clinical Trial Coordinator, 1 FTE, School of Medicine, 011675

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time, fixed term position as a Research Fellow - Senior Clinical Trial Coordinator with Institute for Clinical Trials, CMNHS, at the University of Galway, Ireland.  

The Position is available immediately for a period of approximately 12 months. 

The Institute for Clinical Trials seeks to transform the clinical research landscape in Ireland by creating a comprehensive end-to-end programme supporting the development and delivery of clinical trials, from initial concept through to reporting. Leveraging the academic strengths of the University and its healthcare partner Saolta and building on the aggregate clinical research experience of our investigators, the Institute will consolidate our resources, grow our expertise, and achieve a step change in our impacts on patients. The institute will also be the focal point for the development of sustained, mutually beneficial partnerships with Industry and academic partners further positioning Galway as the clinical research centre of Ireland and contributing to future economic growth and regional development.  

This is a lead coordination role for the Trials Accelerator within the Institute for Clinical Trials. The Trials Accelerator is a unit focused on early clinical trial planning, supporting clinical Investigators with study design, funding applications, protocol development and other early-stage clinical trial activities. 

The Trials Accelerator unit works closely with the Clinical Trial Unit of the CRFG and CORRIB in the set up and delivery of Clinical Research under the Institute for Clinical Trials. 

Salary: Research Fellow salary scale €66,548 - €86,874 per annum, (subject to the project’s funding limitations), and pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts.
