JOB SYNOPSIS:
An opportunity exists for suitably qualified persons to play an important role in the four -year Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) programme offered by the School of Medicine at the University of Limerick (UL). The people appointed will be required to teach a wide range of clinical skills to BMBS Year 1 and 2 students. Within these teaching sessions, the tutor will demonstrate clinical and communication skills to students and then supervise students practising these skills using peer examination, simulated patients and medical simulators (both low- and high- fidelity). Tutors should provide constructive, formative feedback to students on their performance. The tutor will promote effective group functioning, encouraging active, equal participation of all members, monitoring the quality of learning and intervening when necessary. They will help the students to create a supportive and nurturing environment in which they can question and challenge each other constructively.

Salary Scale: €106.97 per hour (work commitment will not be greater than 7 hours per week)
