Post Doctoral Researcher (Level 1) in Mathematical Modelling of the Mechanics of Wrinkling

JOB SYNOPSIS:
This applied mathematics role will contribute to a Research Ireland funded project Mathematical Modelling for Wrinkle Technology. In this position, the research objective will be to develop a theoretical framework for understanding and predicting the formation of wrinkles in a range of materials with elastic, plastic and other materials. The successful candidate will also contribute to the broader research environment of the MACSI research group at the University of Limerick (Mathematics Applications Consortium for Science and Industry) and will have the opportunity to work with collaborators at the University of Manchester and University of Warwick.

Salary Scale: €45,847 - €52,339 p.a. pro rata (maximum starting salary €48,412 p.a. pro rata)
