Title of Post: Research Assistant in EPI-STEM
JOB SYNOPSIS
The Research Assistant of the EPI-STEM Academy of STEM Teachers will work with the Director and research project team in EPI-STEM, The National Centre for STEM Education to coordinate, manage and administer the design, uploading and evaluation of research-led resources across all areas of STEM and STEAM teacher upskilling and professional learning.
The resulting pedagogical and professional resources will align with national curriculum guidelines, standards and codes of practice in STEM and STEAM teacher education in Ireland. The successful candidate will possess well-developed communication and teaching competence as well as research and evaluation, coordination, administration and digital skills. The Research Assistant will assist the Director and the project team in EPI-STEM to conduct periodic evaluations of the use, impact and marketing of this online repository. The position will require ongoing liaison with a variety of stakeholders, including STEM teacher educators in Initial Teacher Education programmes in the School of Education and external stakeholders, such as STEM teacher professional bodies and voluntary organisations.

Salary Scale: €32,962 - €42,943 (maximum starting point €32,962) p.a. pro rata
