Research Fellow in Cell Biology for Male Reproductive Health

Applications are invited for the following position:

Title of Post: Research Fellow in Cell Biology for Male Reproductive Health

JOB SYNOPSIS

Research Fellow in cell biology for the characterisation of testicular tissue and the development of preclinical models. The Fellow will work on an ERC Starting Grant funded project (RE3MODEL) aimed at addressing the growing incidence of male infertility. Identifying the underlying causes and developing effective treatments for male infertility requires appropriate preclinical models of the male reproductive system that accurately represent the native tissue and provide reliable and reproducible data. This project will develop a representative, reliable and reproducible preclinical model of the human testis. The model will be developed using tissue characterisation, hydrogel synthesis, on-chip model fabrication, testicular cell culture and spectroscopic analysis. The candidate will be expected to have demonstratable skills in testicular cell isolation, culture and sorting; testicular organoid culture; and testicular tissue characterisation (histology, spatial analysis, omics analysis, etc.)
